Spotlight on The London 3D Project and Google Earth

Two enthusiastic young 3D SketchUp modelers are going much further and trying to quickly populate larger areas of Central London in Google Earth, with its diverse modern and historical architecture. London has not yet been extensively modeled in Google Earth yet, like New York for example. SketchUpArtists recently interviewed the guys behind the London 3D Project to learn a bit more about the challenging task they have set themselves. They need support and volunteers to help in this momentous task... so if you can help contact them now!

Collection of ten new SketchUp Styles

We just published ten new Fine Pen and Marker Styles by our friend Scott Poloney. Now depending on model complexity, these might work quite well for you..try them out! And thanks again to Scott for his continuing wonderful contributions to SketchUpArtists! here is an example of one of the new Styles (Pilot Razor Point Style) with Shading and Textured turned on in SketchUp.

New version of Augmented Reality has just been released..

With this plugin users can visualize their 3D models using Augmented Reality directly in the real physical space which sorrounds them. Models can be visualized out of the digital workspace directly on users' desktop, by connecting a simple webcam and by printing a suitable code. Read more here..
