New download section at SketchUpArtists

We have reorganized our available download files into different categories. You can now download Google SketchUp,PDF,Photoshop and image files that are all related to our tutorials. Also, all our Google SketchUp Style files. Each file comes with a brief description, thumbnail image and how popular it is, so you know what you are downloading.

Shaderlight Pro is released today...

The Pro version of Shaderlight for Google SketchUp has been released today, with all its extra lighting and resolution options ($199.00). This full release features Shaderlight's unique 'progressive' rendering system that enables users to see their image develop on screen as they continue to work inside Google SketchUp. You can trial the Pro version for 14 days or use the free version with less options.

TwilightRender announced their latest version of the rendering plugin for Google SketchUp, providing new tools for selecting and positioning lights, automatic image saving, better animation and much more!  See here.

The Google Mapper and Modeler Summit 2010

The Google SketchUp folks have decided to have a mini-conference that will bring 2D and 3D geo-content creators together for the first time: The 2010 Google Mapper/Modeler Summit is going to take place on March 22 and 23 in Zurich, Switzerland. They are keeping the attendance small (fewer than a hundred people) to encourage conversations and dialog. In the same vein, the format for the event will be "unconference" -- specific session topics will be decided at the Summit, by the attendees themselves. See more here...
